LADIES 4’S CARNIVAL

LADIES FOURS 2-DAY CARNIVAL

On 9^th and 10^th March Tuncurry Forster Sports held their Annual Ladies Fours 2-Day Carnival with 42 teams (168 bowlers) entering to play in this annual event. It was great to be able to hold this Carnival again, after a hiatus due to COVID 19 restrictions.

We welcomed to our Club visiting teams from Soldiers Point, Stockton, Tea Gardens Merewether, Nelson Bay, Neutral Bay, Figtree Sports, Wallerawang, East Maitland, Kurri, Alstonville, Aberdeen, Maitland City, North Haven, Urunga and St. Johns Park joining many of our local Clubs to play in the Carnival.

Thursday and Friday saw us take to the greens with everyone in good spirits and looking forward to the competition ahead. As predicted over the two days the warm and humid conditions arrived and luckily our nor’easter also arrived later in the day to provide some relief. Despite the warm weather conditions, many of the games were very close with many good bowls put down by the ladies. After the last game on Friday, it was time to have a drink with friends (new and old) and wait for the results.

It was a tremendous 2 days of bowling and it was great to see the 3 greens full of bowlers. Thank you for supporting our Carnival and making it a great success. Well done to President Barbara and her Committee, Volunteers, Umpires from the Men’s Club and Marie Masters our Controlling Body on a very successful 2-day Carnival. We look forward to seeing you next year.
