PRESIDENT BARBARA’S DAY
A SPECIAL DAY FOR OUR PRESIDENT BARBARA
On Thursday 6th June, Tuncurry Forster Sports Women’s Bowling Club held a very SPECIAL DAY for Barbara Cross upon completing 3 years as Club President of the Ladies’ Bowling Club.
Our members welcomed Bowls NSW President Dilys Kindleyside, Club Forster & Sporties Vice President Colin Cross, Club Forster General Manager Peter Clarke and Sports Club General Manager Nick Jackson. We also had the pleasure of welcoming Life Members Marie Masters, Kay Griffiths and representatives from a number of clubs within the District.
After an enjoyable morning of social game of bowls, it was time to go in and have a magnificent hot lunch. Many thanks to our Chiefs at Sporties it was superb and also to our fantastic Social Committee for all their work in decorating the room and making the day a success.
There were a few toasts and presentation of NSW Bowls Merit Pins to a number of Members. Yes, this was indeed a very special day for President Barbara who has held a number of positions on Committee including General, Welfare, Selection and Vice President. So, A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came along and made this day such a memorable occasion for President Barbara celebrating her Special Day.
