2023-2024 DIVISION 2 PENNANT FLAG
THEY HAVE DONE IT AGAIN
What another fantastic 2023-2024 District Pennant Season it has been for our Ladies’. Our Division 2 Green Pennant Team finished in 1st Place to win the District Flag a tremendous effort by several of the Ladies having won it for the second consecutive year. Well done to our other Division 2 Yellow, Division 3 and Division 4 Pennant Teams who played well in their games during the Pennant Season where they had several close games against their opposition only to end up on the wrong side of the ledger.
Congratulations to Julie Curry, Lyn McVicar, Donna Hampson, Karen Carlton, Vicki Piper, Sharyn Newcombe, Helen Bush, Kay Negus and Jenny Grant (Reserve) on winning the Lower North Coast District 2023-2024 Division 2 Pennant Flag. It has been a great effort by Julie, Lyn, Donna, Karen, Vicki, Sharyn and Helen to back up their efforts after winning the Lower North Coast District 2022-2023 Division 2 District Pennant Flag.
What a tremendous game of bowls played Wednesday, 17th April between Sporties and Port City in the Region 2 Pennant Playoffs for Division 2.
In such an important game the Sportsmanship displayed by both sides was a credit to their Clubs. The Spectators on hand were treated with so many tremendous bowls played by all involved.
The scores fluctuated throughout the game, and it was Port City who finished in front to win 41 – 33 and progress to the State Pennant Playoffs for Division 2.
Congratulations to our ladies who played today – Vicki Piper, Sharyn Newcombe, Maz Gorrie, Gae Re, Julie Curry, Lyn McVicar, Donna Hampson , Karen Carlton and Helen Bush their reserve. You have had a great 2023-2024 Pennant Season. You did yourselves and Sporties proud!
